About the book
Adam is weeks away from partnership at his law firm. His fiancée Lucy sews Constance's gowns and cheers from the front table every Friday. His parents in the Ribble Valley think their son is simply "our Adam the lawyer".
Then a producer offers Constance the headline spot in a dazzling new summer show at the Empress Pavilion, a grand old Blackpool theatre brought back from the dead. Saying yes means risking everything Lucy has been saving for, and everything his father has ever wanted for him. Saying yes in secret is worse. Because the biggest client at Adam's firm is fighting to knock the Empress down, and Adam has just been handed the file.
Which Side of the Law? is a warm, funny, big-hearted story about double lives, found family, the people who love us while we work out who we are, and a seaside town that still needs a place to laugh.
